WHO AM I?
Elizabeth is an award-winning film and TV director, writer, producer, and artist. As a mixed Chinese-American woman, she is passionate about telling stories that explore identity, sexuality, and relationships.
Elizabeth recently helmed comedy TV pilot IMPOSTERS, which follows students of color navigating institutional racism in the “woke” culture of an elite university. IMPOSTERS serves as a comedic and curious look at larger social issues in America via the microcosm of the American university campus. The pilot was nominated for “Best in Directing" and “Best Comedy” (Stareable LA ‘22), "Best Series" (Austin Film Festival '22), received honorable mention for "Best Comedy Pilot" (SeriesFest '23), and won "Best Series" (Utah Film Festival '23).
Elizabeth’s debut narrative short, LA PETITE MORT — a subverted fairytale about the messiness of losing your virginity — played at numerous Oscar-qualifying festivals worldwide and debuted online via Short of the Week to an audience of over 225K, and was recently featured on SLASH TV in Vienna, Austria in 2021.
Her other narrative work includes BEWARE OF THE LEOPARD (Daily Pick, FilmShortage '23; Official Selection, Newport Beach Film Festival ‘21), which sheds light on power imbalance in the world of celebrity. Elizabeth was awarded “Best Director” (FirstGlance Film Festival) in 2022 for her romantic comedy TV pilot DRAMA HIGH which reimagines Asian drama tropes to explore AAPI issues.
Elizabeth has also been featured by LaCie’s COLLECTIVE Spotlight for her award-winning micro-documentary, THE ART OF THE WAVE.
In addition to her narrative work, Elizabeth directs content for education and tech brands, and creative studio CONVICTS.
